By participating in services at The Backyard Pack, I hereby certify that my dog(s)is/are in good health and has/have not been ill with any condition that will/should limit their ability to participate in outside walks for bathroom breaks.  I further certify that my dog(s) has/have not harmed engaged in aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or dog while being walked.  I have read and understand the following:

 

  • I understand that I am responsible for providing tags on a collar with contact information for my dog to wear while participating in outside walks. If I do not have tags, a TBYP tag will be selected on my behalf and I will be charged.

  • I understand that I am solely responsible for any harm caused by my dog(s) while my dog(s) is/are participating in outside walks at The Backyard Pack in Lorton, Virginia.

  • I further understand and agree that in requesting my dog(s) participate in daily outside walks, the staff at The Backyard Pack have relied on my representation that my dog(s) is/are in good health and has/have not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person while on leash.  The Backyard Pack staff may at any time halt participation in outside walks if your dog(s) exhibits behavior which could be harmful to other dogs or staff.

  • I further understand and agree that The Backyard Pack and its staff will exercise due diligence and reasonable care while walking my dog(s), and will not be liable for any problems that may arise.  I hereby release The Backyard Pack any liability of any kind whatsoever arising from my dog/dogs participation in daily outside walks.

  • I further understand and agree that dogs can sometimes receive minor cuts and scratches during walks; that dogs may come in contact with bacteria, viruses, or other illnesses from being outside. If a dog becomes otherwise ill or injured and is in need of immediate care, The Backyard Pack will contact me or my emergency contact immediately for instructions on how to care/treat the issue. If my dog(s) require vet transportation for urgent care, The Backyard Pack will transport the animal to the Regional Vet Referral Emergency Care Hospital and will request that a representative from the hospital contact me or my emergency contact for instructions/approval for care.  If the owner is unreachable, The Backyard Pack will have the veterinarian proceed with any treatment deemed necessary.  Owners will assume all financial responsibility for veterinary treatment.
